RCPT024 Line Total Does Not Match Price Times Quantity

Line total does not equal unit price × quantity.

This code comes from ZIMRA. FDMS validated the receipt and refused it.

Why It Happens

FDMS re-multiplies every line and compares. A system that stores a rounded unit price and an unrounded line total will disagree by a cent, and that is enough.

What FDMS Is Checking

receiptLineTotal equals receiptLinePrice × receiptLineQuantity.

What ThatFiscal Does About It

ThatFiscal re-derives the unit price from the line total, because the line total is the figure the customer agreed and the unit price is the one that was rounded for display. If you still see this code, the line total itself is wrong at source.

How to Fix It

  1. Check the line in the source system: the total there is the one being sent.
  2. Watch for a discount applied to the total but not reflected in the unit price.
