ZIMRA Fiscalisation for Accountants and Consultants

for practices

If you keep the books for other people, ZIMRA fiscalisation is now part of your service whether you planned it or not. Your clients have to issue fiscalised invoices, most of them do not want to learn how, and the ones who try will call you when a receipt is refused. This is how a practice runs that without twenty logins and twenty problems.

1

Register Once as a Reseller

Apply at Become a Reseller as an individual or as a firm. There is no stock to buy, no hardware, and no minimum. Once approved you get a reseller portal with your own client book, and a referral code your clients can sign up through.

2

Onboard Your Clients From Your Own Portal

You fill in the ZIMRA application on their behalf — Customer Datasheet, device serial, branch details — and register the device from My Clients the moment ZIMRA issues the credentials. You are not waiting on the client to work out what a Device ID is.

A branch device registers through the same form. No new End User Agreement is needed for a branch — do not sign another. ZIMRA issues a Device ID, Serial Number and Activation Key for each branch device exactly as it did for the first, and you enter them in Register a Client Device.

3

Invoice for Any Client From One Screen

Billing Studio in your reseller portal lists every client you hold the add-on for. Pick one, raise the invoice, and it fiscalises on that client's own device, under that client's own numbering. It is their statutory record, not yours — and their audit log shows that you raised it, which is exactly what your engagement letter should say happens. Their recent invoices are listed beside the form, marked so you can tell your work from theirs.

4

Pay Per Client, Net of Your Commission

Billing Studio is an add-on you buy per client. Your reseller commission is applied as a discount on what you pay, and What This Costs Me in the portal shows the whole book as one figure — including any client who is paid for but has never signed in, so you can chase them or stop paying.

What you can and cannot do on a client's behalf. You can raise and fiscalise invoices, add customers, register their device and pay their subscription. You cannot reach a client who has not activated their own account, and you cannot touch a client who is not yours — the ownership check is on the server, not the screen. Every action is written to the client's audit log under your reseller code, because a tax document filed in a taxpayer's name by somebody else has to be visible to that taxpayer.
Non-VAT clients too. Fiscalisation is mandatory for VAT-registered operators, but the gateway supports non-VAT taxpayers natively and there are good reasons to put them on it early — see Who Should Fiscalise.
